Canopy’s Business Beyond Profit Unit is a turnkey, no-cost curriculum designed for Kentucky high school juniors and seniors. Built around real Kentucky businesses, the program helps students explore entrepreneurship, leadership, finance, workplace culture, ethical decision making, and how businesses can positively impact people and communities. The first 15 minutes of this session will be dedicated to learning generally about the Business Beyond Profit Curriculum. Teachers that are new to the curriculum can learn from those that taught the curriculum and ask questions of them and their staff. This training session will equip you with the tools you need to use the 8 session unit in your lesson plans during the 2026-27 school year. Led by Canopy Education Director Adam Watson, you will learn the structure of the unit, how to utilize the slides, workbooks and other free tools, and how to add your personal style to the curriculum.
